Growth U/S and first internal

According to my Growth u/s if I go to term he will weigh 9 1/4 pds!! I know it is an estimate and could be a pound or so off but it still sounds like a big baby!!!!

I am 1 cm dilated and 50%effaced.  I know that it does not mean much but the word Dilated was a big word for my poor husband!!!  I tried to explain some people are 1cm for a long time.  Not sure it helped. 

I am not ready for him,  I want him to cook for a few more weeks.

    Don't worry- I have been dilated since 33 weeks and I'm now 39 weeks and 2.5 cm dilated and 80%effaced since last week- it can still take awhile.

    I'm with you...I want my baby to stay for a few more weeks.  People always ask 'are you ready to have the baby yet?'...HECK NO!  Let him develop as much as possible inside.
