Awkward!

So one of DH's coworkers called to say they want to have a "shower" for him, and to let her know 2 or 3 big ticket items we need! I'm like um.....well I have 2 showers this weekend and I think most of that stuff has been purchased (of course I know it has because I registry stalk, but didn't want to admit that...).

I emailed her the swing we were planning on buying ourselves (we didn't register for it because BRU doesn't have it), and said other than that I don't have any ideas! I said we'd have things we'll need in the coming months, like convertible carseats, etc. so gift cards would always be great, but I didn't really know what else to say! It's pretty awkward being like yes please buy us this, this and this!

yeah, I hate it when people do that. My MIL told us to pick out whatever car seat we want and they'll get it for us. Which is nice, but it also makes me look at the price tag more since i know it's someone else's dollar!

Maybe a gift card shower or diaper shower so he doesn't have to run out and get them in the wee hours of the night? Or ask her if they could wait until after your showers so you know what you'll still have to get. Just an idea.
