Weird that they wont help out a mom in need of new clothes...
Why would you take it that personally? It's Target, a billion dollar corporation with minimum-wage employees that are just following the rules. Give me a break. I'm childless and wasn't allowed to take a cart in either. I doubt there's an anti-mother conspiracy at hand here.
I bet her FUPA's name is Shane, like the gunslinger/drifter of literature.--HappyTummy
Why wouldn't you just take your kid into the dressing room with you sans cart? They have a policy, it's not like they were just being assholes to you for no reason, and it's not like taking your kid out of the seat is a huge hardship or something.
I guess I'm not as lucky as you are to have such a well-behaved child. I once made the mistake of taking DS in a fitting room without a cart and he spent the whole time trying to crawl under the stalls. I also don't want him sitting on a dirty floor.
I wasn't being lazy by not taking him out and I never said they were assholes.
I doubt it's luck.
Well, then I guess she's just a better parent than I am. I'll work on training DS to stay put at all times.

The snarkiness in this thread is cracking me up.
I've only had him in the dressing room with me once. He sat and read a book then looked in the mirror. Usually I go alone or bring my husband or a friend along with. But if he wasn't in the mood to sit and read a book, I'd probably buy whatever thing I was interested in, try it on at home, then bring it back if I didn't like it. Sometimes kids are an inconvenience. It's okay, I knew that when I signed up.
Re: Target's "no cart in fitting room" policy
I usually have him in the stroller and they allow me to bring it in with me.
