I should not be allowed to have technology [shh don't tell MH that I'm admitting this].

I'm tech-stupid.  Maybe even tech-ignorant.

Anyway, I have a blackberry, which is probably the dumbest thing ever, b/c I am tech-stupid.  I've had it for almost 2 years and I use the internet on it and text and make phone calls, but that's about it.

MH has been doing a bit of research on smartphones b/c we might switch to Verizon and get the droid phone - today he came across some stuff about updates for blackberry phones.  So he had me download all this software and stuff so I could update my phone.

It's insane how much more I could have been doing on my phone... I am such a wasteful dumbass.  Why do I have a smartphone and barely use it?  BECAUSE I AM AN IDIOT.

But MH says he'll show me and that I will be "much happier with my phone."

Ha!  I just got a new phone a few months ago, and when I told the sales guy, "I want the cheapest, most simple thing you have," he looked at me like I had three eyeballs.  Seriously, all I want to do is talk to people.  And it needs to be able to keep all the phone numbers.  I don't even like texting.

I use practically everything on mine.  Facebook, GPS, calendar, keep my grocery lists in the memo pad, task list, email, check the weather, traffic, Twitter, bb messenger...boy, now I sound like a geek!

eta: oh, and I do us it as a phone, too

I'll admit, I don't use my BB to its full capacity because I'm deathly afraid I'll become even more addicted to it than I already am!

 I use it for Facebook, BB messenger, Yahoo, emails, and the ever-exciting text/picture messaging.

 Oh....and to check weather and football scores.

I do almost all of this, but not twater. (i still don't understand that site.) I LOVE getting my email on it though and the grocery list-- what a GREAT idea!!!

I am impressed I can finally text message with my new smart phone. It was just not worth my time when my phone didn't have a keyboard. That T9 thing was my worst nightmare. As long as I can email and text and call, what else would I want that thing to do? I would just spend even more time on it than I do now which would not be a good thing!

yes, and I looveee the way it lets you view the pages. Plus it lets you post on here! (I couldn't do it with my default browser)

Don't feel bad.  I've had my iphone (first generation) since they first came out and only JUST NOW started using it for more than just texting, phone calls and the occasional email check/google.  I have a few apps that I use...but I hardly use this thing to its max potential.  Don't use the itunes component of it either.  It's like a waste...but then again, it's mostly because I lack the time to sit around and figure it out and/or use it for other things.

I'm ROTFLMAO at this post because I"M TOTALLY THE SAME.  When we went phone shopping and MH suggested these, I was like, why?  It took me months to get around to taking a picture w/ it and emailing it to my folks.  I SOMETIMES check internet, but I SUCK at it and don't usually bother unless I'm really bored.  Yeah - I'm wasting money on it too.
