Normally I am a working mom, but due to the economy I have become a SAHM. I have great ideas for getting the house in order, but absolutely no motivation. E goes to daycare 3 days a week so I can look for a new position and get some work done.
Thankfully, DH does the grocery shopping and cooking. I have a housekeeper that comes in and does the heavy duty cleaning like bathrooms, mopping, and vaccuming. I just need to keep the house decluttered, laundry done, dishes, etc.
Do any of you wonderful ladies have a schedule for housework, etc? I would love to be able to motivate myself with a schedule and gold stars. It might even help me lose the baby weight.
Re: Anyone have a good house schedule?
I pick up little things throughout the day so that I don't need to have a major overhaul when it comes time to vacuum, dust and mop.
The mornings I do mainly devote to the kitchen and do the dishes and pick up bibs and dirty towels, etc. I also pick up the living room and move toys out of the way.
I don't really put the away the toys until the LO's go to bed at night though. There is no point, because they would be getting them out as soon as I put them away.

I am keeping my service. My bathroom would never be clean if I discontinued the service. I do not clean, I hate it. The money on the service is minimal and still in the budget so we are keeping them.
I'm very new to this SAH thing, and naturally very messy.
But, what I'm really trying to do is to just keep on top of everything. I pick up stuff as we finish with it, I try to tidy whenever I have a couple of minutes. I do a load of laundry every day. What I need to do is start running the vacuum and spot mopping every day, but I haven't done that. I also want to start doing a few small things to the bathroom in between times my cleaning lady comes -- clorox wiping the counters, swiping the toilet with cleaner -- but I haven't done that yet.
