DH and I have narrowed down our name list for a boy (finally!) and I'd like your honest (but kind) opinion.

    I voted for Linus- I really love that name, but DH does not:( I also like William, but strongly dislike Bernie.

    None of them are my style.  Linus reminds of that kid from the peanuts and Bernie conjures up images from weekend at Bernies...Great movie, but wouldnt want to think about a dead guy when looking at my child

    I would have voted for William Bernard until you said you would call him Bernie. Not a fan of Bernie or Linus for the same reasons pp said.

    I love Linus!  I also like William - although I don't understand why you'd name him William for his first name and then call him Bernie.  If you want to nn him Bernie, I'd go with the last option.

    i don't like bernie at all, but i voted for william bc thats a great name.

    bernie sound like an accountant.  or an old lawyer or something.

    Honestly, I couldn't vote on any of them. I don't like Linus or Bernie. I almost voted for the normal name but then realized what the nn was going to be (Bernie). Sorry.

    Thanks for the input! : )  I think we will go with Linus for sure.  William is my DH's first name (he goes by his mn) and he wants it in the name but he doesn't want to call him William or any nn's of it.

     

    I REALLY wanted to call LO Liam but DH isn't for it.  So Linus is a compromise we are both happy with.  We still have lots of time though, so we will see.....

    All of the names make me think of a dorky kid but I do like Linus the best of the choices. I would have voted for William but do not like Bernie at all.
