My 1st appt is on 11/10, do you think I should try to go in earlier to get the flu shot?

I don't really want the shot, but I guess the scare tactics are working. 

I've never had the flu (of any sort) and I've never had a flu shot either.

I could be wrong, but I don't think that you are supposed to get any type of flu shot during first trimester, H1N1 or the regular. Call your ob and ask to make sure though, it doesn't cost anything to call and ask!

I agree that you should ask. My dr. recommends them, but they definitely checked to see how far along I was. I don't know for sure that that means you shouldn't get them in the first tri, but it's a good enough reason to check.

I'm not getting either one, but I definitely wouldn't get it in the first tri no matter what.

I've never had any type of flu shot and it's been probably a decade or more since I had the flu!
