Pregnant after a Loss

PSA: darkness of HPT lines

...don't mean anything.  I have been wanting to post this pic for a long time, and I finally got around to it.

For those of you (who like me) thought that the darkness of the line meant something, well let me tell you that it doesn't and here is proof.  Here is the hpt series from this pregnancy. From the look of things, I would think that it was going to end up as a chemical pregnancy but nope!  It was just about how diluted my urine was. The second pic is actually the first HPT I ever took and is the darkest line I ever received.  Unfortunately that pregnancy ended in m/c at 7weeks.  So don't worry if your lines are not dark or if they do not get progressively dark.

Re: PSA: darkness of HPT lines

  • I agree 100%.  My tests this pregnancy got lighter until 15+ dpo. Then they eventually got darker.  I also got lighter lines with FMU.  So a line is a line.

  • Would you be willing to post this on TTCAL?  I think this would give us hope and even though I always congrat saying a line is a line, this is proof.

  • Girl my line was so light only I could see it!!!  DH couldn't even see it.  I had to confirm with a digital.  So true!
  • Agree 100%. My lines never did get any darker. They stayed faint each time I tested.
