i was ready a post below and a few of you mentioned that you have nannies instead of daycare. 

 ive always been curious:  was it hard for you to get over the trust issue?  I mean, we don't have anything worth stealing, but the thought of someone possibly snooping through my things really creeps me out.  Did you hire a stranger or is it someone you know....

I work from home, so some of my fears are allayed that way, but no, I did not know her before hiring her.  I'm completely OCD about everything though, so if she snooped through my stuff, I'd know and she never has.  I doubt it would be that interesting anyway

I also work from home so I've not had to worry so much about leaving her in the house without me, at least in the beginning.  When I am away from the house for long periods of time, I have full confidence that she's not snopping or stealing or anything like that.  I did not know her before (we found her on Craig's List) but she's great and loves DD.  I have no worries about having her in our house.  It took us longer to get comfortable with letting her drive DD to activities but now she takes her somewhere at least 3 times a week.
