Pregnant after a Loss

Registered at BRU today

I have been putting this off .... but today I finally printed off my wish list that I have been making here at home and headed over to BRU.  The lady at the Registration desk was very nice and after giving me their goody bag took the time to show me everything that was in it and then offer some advise on where to start.....  After spending over an hour scanning items I developed a headache and my feet were hurting so I decided to call it a day.  I returned the scanner gun to the lady and asked her for a print out of my items... she then looks up my Registry and proceeds to tell me that there is nothing on there?!!  WTF?!  I calmly told her there must be some glitch because I just spent over an hour going through about 40 items and there was no way I was going to do it again.. she checked again and still my Registry was blank.  I was ready to get up and walk out when she realized that there was some kind of connection problem between the scanner gun and the computer.  So about 10 minutes later she was finally able to pull up my list.  Thank God.  I was not going to be a very happy camper had my items totally vanished.  It was just so overwhelming - I think I won't be going back there for atleast 2 weeks!

  • You are right, it is SO overwhelming.  I'm really glad they were able to find out the problem, it would not be fun to have to go and re-do everything.  Don't forget you can add things online, that was an absolute life-saver for me.  I was totally obsessed with changing and updating my registry before my shower.

  • Oh goodness!  I would've had a panic attack and passed out right in front of her!  Thankfully you didn't have to go through all that AGAIN!

Well, now that that's done, congrats!!  It must be a relief to have yet another task out of the way.  :)

  • Aw, fun! Well, once she got it working at least. That would've been a nightmare. I made my mom come w/ me the first time I went to BRU- there's just too much stuff out there!

  • Whew, I'm so glad she was finally able to pull up your registry. I can't imagine having to select all those items again!

It can definitely be an overwhelming and very tiring process, but the hard part is over now. Smile All you have to do now is tweak your registry here and there.

  • I hear ya!  I went last the past two weekends....and again this weekend. It's so overwhelming.  I started by just looking and no scanning then went online to add some things I saw.  Then I spent a whole week putting together my own list of items I need so I can pick what's going on the registry and what wasn't.

The second time I took my friend who has a one year old to help me decipher what I might really need.  Then added more stuff online when I went home.

Now this weekend I'm going with my mother and MIL to browse at fun stuff.  I think it's almost done.... I still need to pick bottles and a stroller but most stuff is on there.  You're welcome to e-mail me if you'd like a list I've put together of items.  I compiled it based on about 30 lists from friends so it's pretty comprehensive.  crysbena@gmail.com
