Preggers with twins. How far along were you?

This is my first pregnancy.  How far along were you when you found out what the babies gender's were?  I have my appointment with my doctor at 17 wks 4 days.  Do you think we will be able to tell by then?

My MFM guessed boys at 13 weeks and he was right.  He verified it at 18 weeks.  At 13 weeks he said you can measure something down by their tail bone that is different on boys and that is what made him say boys at 13 weeks.

my MFM guesses at my 13w appt. with him and he turned out to be right. My DH refused to belive it until 20w though .

We got Baby B's "money shot" at 16w, but Baby A was sitting cross-legged so we didn't find out for him until 18w.

I didn't have an ultrasound between my NT scan at 12w and the 20w scan, so we found out at 20w. It was very obvious at that point.

My peri guessed at 13 wks it was boy/girl...but we got the confirmation (and surprise!) that is was 2 girls at 16 weeks.

That's when we found out A) that we were having twins and that we were having one of each. It was very clear that they were a boy and girl, so I think you should be able to find out then.  Good luck!

You should be able to tell, I think we found out around 17 weeks and it was confirmed at our big u/s.

You can probably tell by then. Our tech guessed at 16w and confirmed at 20.

i think i was 18 weeks, but they usually dont do them till 19 weeks at my place.  good luck!

We had to wait until my 19 week MFM appointment (AKA the 'big' u/s).  It was clear as day.

At 17 weeks your Dr should be able to tell, or at least make a very good guess.  Just keep in mind that depending on what type of appointment it is, not all OB's will check.  My OB would not even look at my 12 week U/S, and then I didn't have another U/S until the 19 week level II with the MFM.

We found out at 14 weeks that we were having 2 boys.  It was very obvious that they were boys.

We got an "I guess" at 16 weeks but not a definate answer at 21 weeks. ?It was hard to wait, but much better to know for sure. ?Turned out the guess was right....two girls!

We foumd out at 6w1d.  They could see 2 sacs, 2 babies & 2 heartbeats. Yes you can find out by 17 wks for sure!

We got a good view of Baby A at 16 weeks but Baby B wasn't giving it up yet   At the 20 week we clearly saw they both were girls.

I found out at my NT scan at 12w6d.  I didn't put too much stock in it until my next u/s around 17w though.  If your babies are being cooperative, they should be able to tell at your next appointment.

I was 17w1d and it was very clear that we were having 2 boys.

We found out at our 12 w NT scan. The tech said she was sure, and we clearly saw his and her  parts. The tech confirmed at 16 w and again at 20 w. We didnt believe it at the 12 w u/s, so we waited until the 20 w one to tell everyone.
