I thought that my post would be better suited for SAL than TTCAL, since you gals were blessed with BFP's and might be able to offer better advice. I am a plus sized gal (22/24 normally). I am actively trying to loose weight while TTCAL (since I've gotten the lecture from my OB about how weight loss can aid in TTC). For you gals who are plus sized and are SAL, do you feel that weight did effect how long it took for you to get KU? Was it harder for you? Any advice, support would be greatly appreciated!!! TIA and Happy & Healthy to All!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Plus Sized Gal TTCAL
Hmm...I don't think it affected me at all. In fact, I was actively loosing weight, and I had lost about 50 lbs when I got my 1st BFP in December, and then in January I had my m/c. After my m/c I was depressed and stopped working out and I've put all my weight back on, and I got my BFP in May and now I'm back to and even over my pre-pregnancy weight. So, I don't think it makes that much of a difference. Hope this helps. Good luck to you.
However, when I did loose all that weight, I felt sexier and I enjoyed BDing with my DH a lot more.

It took us a year, but I only have 1 tube, so cut it in half.
Don't worry too much about it; get healthy to be healthy, but it's probably not going to make or break TTC.
I have actually *lost* weight so far with this pregnancy - just by asking myself every time I have a meal - would I feed this to the baby?

No I don't think it affected my process at all. The first month we actively tried to to TTC we got KU... I think that if you are healthy and take care of yourself - no matter what the size - that is what matters. Yes, weight can have some bearing on concieving, but I know just as many "plus size" women who get KU as "normal size" women.
If your doctor has concerns on you BP or some other health thing with you, then there may be a reason why he/she wants you to lose wieght.
I guess it can't hurt to lose some, but is your WEIGHT in itself stopping you from concieving, I highly doubt it.... unless your doctor has proven to you otherwise...
