What size!?!?

Help!  I have to get my bridesmaids dress soon for a wedding in June (the dress is being discontinued).  I'll be 6 weeks post-partum... any clue what size I should go for?  I'm a size 2-4 pre-pregnancy.

I would probably get a size 6 at least.  Better to get it too big and have to have it taken in rather than it be too small.

I actually have the same issue - I'm in a wedding when I should be 9ish weeks postpartum. They told me to order up 2-3 sizes from my pre-pg size and then hire a good seamstress.

I had this issue, I was a bridesmaid 2 weeks pp with DD. My dressmaker told me to order it 3 sizes too big and an extra cup in the bust. It was HUGE on me! It was a biitch to have tailored because they had to shorten the length, the straps, and take out about 4 inches of material just so it would fit again.

My advice would be to go get measured as late as possible. If you have to get it NOW, go up a size. And get a maternity-style dress if you can (many styles offer a maternity version). That way there is room to hide whatever belly you may still have and you won't have to do as much tailoring.
