36 week appt update

Ok...had my internal appointment. She said I am a finger tip dilated, so I guess that is good. She said she would not want to see it more than that at this point.

The scale said I put on 9 lbs in 2 weeks... I argue with that. I normally have appointments in the morning and today had to to go in the afternoon. I also swelled over the weekend and my ankles and fingers are all puffy. Final defense, the scale there is always 5 lbs more than the one I have at home. Whatever.

I guess I go weekly from now on. FYI, they said we are to get the H1N1 vaccine at our office in 2 weeks, but I am still opting not to get one. Woo hoo!

Yeah, I don't think I gain as much as their scale says either!

On a side note, I can't believe you're 36 weeks already. Congrats on some progress! I was a fingertip at 37 weeks, so I'm hoping for some more progress on Friday.

There's this nurse at my dr's office who always takes off 2-3 lbs from what the scale says for "clothing weight."  Needless to say, I love this woman.  

I can't believe you're already getting dilated!  That's so exciting.  Glad you had such a good appointment. :-)

I once "gained" 8 lbs in 6 days. Erm... not really. I'm so over the whole numbers game of pregnancy!

I'm glad you had a good appt.  I think when you get weighed they should subtract a couple pounds to account for having eaten during the day and your clothing .  I hate getting weighed and my weight is always more at the doctor's.

sounds like you're making good progress.  Don't worry about the weight, I don't even pay attention anymore....I'm convinced there is someone standing behind me putting their foot on the scale, no way I weigh that much!

thanks for the encouragement... I am not worried about the weight. Last week, I had clients that could not believe I am due next month. I have basically a lovely bump full of boy and I know I will take the weight off once he arrives.

I'm excited to have scheduled out for the next three weeks... I cannot believe I am rounding full term so fast!

Yay! That's a great appt!!  I can't belive you are already dialted.  Less than one week and you are full term!! Amazing!
