What is your latest obsession?

...mine are kitchen gadgets.

Ever since I bought the pineapple slicer that Brightning recommended, I keep adding like 1 item per month to my kitchen drawers:) I bought an apple corer that sucks. Wouldn't recommend that. The slices are all jagged and look like they've been nibbled on. LOL!

I think I'll get an avocado slicer next... maybe like this one:

  • Mine is crafts! I can't get enough scrapbook material. Every cardboard box looks like a potential project. Like last night my daughter and I took transparent gloves and filled them with diferent candy and made candy hands. We got Halloween designed ribbon and tied it them to throw over the front door. Now we've got creepy loking hands hanging down the door. The candy corn makes for extra spooky fingernails! Thanks Cookie!

Ooh! What a great/spooky idea that even my 2 year old could help do;) I was also thinking of putting some kleenex over lollipops and tying them with a ribbon, to make ghosts. I think it's simple enough that DD would enjoy that as well!
  • uhhhh I like that avocado slicer! Cheap too! I may have to get one for myself! he he
  • pineapple slicer!?!?!?! do tell! i've always hated cutting them
  • I love to read peoples blogs. I think that was the best idea anyone ever had! lol
  • Cookie cutters!  I want to start baking cookies and decorating them.  I went to Marshalls and bought a bunch of christmas ones and I just bought fall leaves over the weekend.  I might bake tonight. :)

Wierd, I replied to you hours ago but it never showed. Sorry. Here's the one we have...

It works amazingly well, and hollows out the shell of the pineapple (see photos on amazon) so you can make a fruit salad boat. Cool!

  • OMG! This is the coolest thing I've ever seen! Does it waste a lot of the pineapple? In the picture it looks like quite a bit isn't included in the rings.
  • IMO, no. Doesn't waste much at all. And even if it did, I wouldn't mind being that I didnt' have to slice and dice that rind off! Hate that part!!!
  • SO true! I found it at Bed Bath & Beyond, I'm gonna go get it tonight! I coincidentally have a pineapple in the kitchen thats ready to be cut :) Thanks
  • Yay! Let us know if you love it!
