Trying to Get Pregnant

O'd on CD 19 of 28 day cycle

Hello ladies,

This is my first month charting (5th month off BCP).  I o'd on day 19.  For the last 4 months my cycles have been 28 days (which was normal for me prior to birth control as well).

I know it is too early to say for sure how long my luteal phase is, but have you ladies had any experience getting pg with a luteal phase that is only 9 days?

 Thanks!

  • You may find a few pregnant ladies on there but your best bet is to go to the Trimesters and ask there.

  • from my understanding, anything under 10 days can be a problem. I would see if it's consistent though before you go running off to the dr, some people have an off cycle here and there.

if you're looking for girls that are KU you might have more luck on the 1st Tri board. while there are KU girls here, there are quite a bit more over there. GL!

  • I wouldn't count your LP as 9 days just yet. You may have O'd late or this may be the first month that you've actually O'd since stopping BC, which would make this a totally different cycle from the last 3.

I would wait it out to see what the rest of this cycle looks like.

  • I O'd on CD 19 of a 28-day cycle the cycle before I got pregnant.  That pregnancy ended in a missed m/c, but there's no reason to believe that had anything to do with my prior LP length (which ranged from 9-11 days).  You might try 50-100 mg of B-6 a day to lengthen your LP a bit.  Good luck.

  • Before I would start to worry, you should chart for a couple months to see if this is a consistent problem.  If it is, I'd advise you to see the doc.  As someone else said, anything under 10 days can be a problem.  Additionally, some docs think that anything under 12 can be an issue.  Good luck!
  • Thanks for all the advice -- I'll take a little B6 just in case!

I agree you might have o'd late this time its not set in stone that you ovuate on the same day every month. Just wait it out and see hoe long LP lasts.

This. If your luteal phase IS less than ten days, then you might consider taking B6 to lengthen it.
