The name that DH and I most agree on for DD is Caroline. (There are several other names that I like, but that's his favorite on the list.) Anyway, I have several family names as potential middle names that we're considering using, and I was curious to get some opinions:
Caroline Jane (grandmother's first name)
Caroline Louise (my mn, my mother's mn, a great grandmother, DH's grandmother, etc, etc, etc)
Caroline Avery (my sister's name and another old family name going back generations)
Caroline Elizabeth (another one that's all over the family tree)
Our last name starts with a D and is two syllables. And if you have any other suggestions or think we should start over, chime in too...
Re: Middle name for Caroline...
Are you pronouncing it Carol-lin or Carol-line?
I think Jane sounds the best. I tend to like longer first names with shorter MNs and vice versa.
Ha. Funnily enough, if MY DH didn't get a vote, right now I'd name her Elizabeth Jane or Elizabeth Louise.
i'm assuming caro-line, as that's the proper pronunciation. caro-lin is spelled carolyn.
personally i like them all except for avery. it just doesn't flow right to me.
Tell that to the two Carolines I know who both pronounce it -lin
Louise for sure!
Don't care for the n's with Caroline Jane and the others don't flow well imo...
