TTCR: anybody get mid-cycle spotting?

argh! i'm so frustrated with the TTC process. I've been off BCP for almost 2 years, charted to avoid for a year and a half and I'm on cycle 5 of actively trying. My first 12+ cycles of charting, I had predictable charts, 26 - 28 day long cycles, ovulation between day 12 and 16 with LPs of 12 or 13 days. CM was predictable too, EWCM 2 days before ovulation confirmed with temp rise.

anyway, now that I'm actively TTC, all hell seems to have broken loose. the last 3 cycles i've had mid-cycle spotting, the last 2 days have been particularly heavy/red for spotting. I know this can be normal, but for my first 18 months of charting it wasn't... do you think this is cause for concern? could it be something else?

thanks for listening and for any support. i know my TTC journey is short so far, and although I'm ready, I'm quickly learning patience, just frustrated that once I got going things started going wacky, KWIM?

I had mid cycle spotting for quite a few months while TTC.  It typically was around day 20 that it would start for me.  I wasn't ovulating though (according to my temps) but I did have normal length cycles.  I never found out why I was spotting but it really was frustrating.

Yup, I have...and I got PG both of those cycles.  It's could be a sign of ovulation.  And in my case I'm certain it was. Doesn't happen every cycle though....

was it red? (sorry TMI) I've heard it can be a sign of ovulation.. but since its not normal for me I wasn't sure what to think. so you don't get it every cycle?

that is frustrating - but I know my sister spots when she ovulates. Is the spotting happening with the CM & temp rising?? Maybe its just another sign of ovulation?

i should ovulate in the next couple days. thanks for the encouragement.

Yup and I ETA'd my response to say that I didn't get it every month.
