I am looking into getting Emma some black mary janes for the "winter" (such as it is in Louisiana). There are these from
Bobux and these from
Pediped. I have a coupon for Bobux for 15% off, but if the Pediped are better for an all over the place walker, I will ditch the coupon. Also any advice on Pediped sizing will be a huge help too!! TIA!!
Re: pediped vs. robeez/bobux
we have the patent black mary janes from pedipeds and love them.
i've not seen the bobux so I'm not sure about those, but pedipeds are the only shoes she has and the only ones I really want to buy for her. I just don't think you can beat them for flexibility (the most important thing for this age.)
because they are leather soled, they can be slippery on hardwood floors, but since she's barefoot at home, we haven't had a problem with that.
sizing runs true to size, but they also have a printable size chart on line.
squidge here is bigfoot, so she's in 18-24

the pedipeds are just like real shoes, minus the hard bottom. it's like the stability of a big kid shoe in the upper and the flexibility of the robeez on the bottom.
check out craigs list if you don't want to shell out $30 without seeing them in person first. kids grow so fast that you can get good deals on barely used shoes there
