organic crib mattress vs. regular mattress

anybody know much about organic vs. reg. mattresses and if its TRUELY worth the money to go organic.

I've heard if you "air out" a regular mattress before the baby sleeps on it, its perfectly fine.

I'M TORN!  Just trying to get educated before making this purchase and wondering if spending the extra money is worth it or if its all "hype".
