Got a traffic warning today :(

Failure to come to a complete 3-second stop at a stop sign. We were on our way to the pumpkin patch from the apple orchard. We had been on a super bumpy, dusty dirt road for 2 miles and I was so relieved to be on asphalt again, I didn't even see the police lights at first. I had no idea why I was being stopped, I assumed I was speeding, but I guess I didn't stop very well at the stop sign.

I know it's just a warning, and I know that the cops were watching that spot because the deputy said he'd given a lot of tourists tickets in that very spot today (it's totally remote and you'd never go there if you weren't going to the pumpkin patch). But I still feel stupid.

DH just laughed at me. He knows I obsess about stuff like this. Too bad I wasn't in my own county, because I probably wouldn't have gotten a warning at all. Lesson learned! Come to a complete stop and count to 3!

That sucks, it's an awful feeling to get stopped. But, really, take your warning, give it a kiss and a mental "thank you" to the powers above that it wasn't a ticket and then toss it in the fireplace. Moving on! Smile
