I've got lots of wrapping instructions linked in my siggy but I'd be hesitant to use a moby, especially with a 30 pounder. The problem is that it will start to sag so you'll probably need to readjust/tighten fairly often. If you can get someone to help you so you are able to pull it super super tight that'd be best. Too bad you aren't near be - I'd loan you a woven!
The back wrap cross carry is probably the easiest and you'll definitely need something multi-layered with the moby. Another option would be the double hammock - there should be instructions for each in my siggy or you can find videos on youtube.
Maybe - I think it would be ok as long as you pull it super tight. Not sure how comfy it will be for you after a while since it may start to sag. The multiple layers will help.

Ah... well I just have the regular Moby. I would love to get something else (Ergo?) but we just can't afford it.
Do you think the hip carry might be better right now?
