What do you guys think of this name? I've always wanted a name with a nickname, but I don't know if this one works -- I would like a nickname to be Cara...is that wierd because it's changing a letter? I can see myself calling her Cara for short - any thoughts?  I really like this name Caroline.

I think Caroline is lovely. I definitely think Cara would work as a nickname, and I also like Caro, Carly and Callie.

Love Caroline. Not a fan of going by nn's since I grew up going by a nn for my mn. It was too confusing and annoyed me.

I love it. If we use it, she will simply be called "Caroline" no nicknames. If you like Cara, then name her Cara.

This is our DD's name. We do not-- and do not plan to-- use a NN. Caroline is perfect as-is. But, if you want to call her Cara, it's not a stretch.

LOVE the name Caroline.  I wouldn't shorten it to anything.

If you like Cara, why not name her Cara?  It's a perfectly fine stand alone name.

My sister's name is Caroline, and she usually just goes by Caroline, but closer family and friends call her "Care" when we are shortening it. HTH!
