I love our library!

With our first full week home and unemployed we've taken advantage of the drop-in story-time at our library. The regular ones are usually booked two months in advance. So this has a bigger group but it's still plenty of fun, stories, games and songs.

While I was there I also noticed a poster advertising their 'Literacy Bags'. They are extra large canvas tote bags filled with books, music, games and puzzles. Each one is filled with items for a topic. Today we brought home the ABC bag. One of the toys included is a felt coconut tree with all the alphabet letters with velcro attachment. It follows DS's favorite Chicka Chicka Boom Boom book. So awesome! 

Next we'll need to check out the colors & shapes bag, counting bag, there's some really cool stuff there!

Wow- sounds amazing! I've been meaning to get to our local branch again- it's been completely renovated and just reopened. LOVE the modern library systems, though- being able to do everything online is awesome.

Oh ya, online is awesome too! Anytime someone here suggests a book I can pull up the catalog online and put a hold on it so as soon as it's available I can just go pick it up. 

Although, I may have gone overboard this week. I have two books, two prenatal yoga DVDs, three potty-training DVDs and a music CD all checked out right now. I imagine at some point they're going to say 'please step away for a moment, ma'am'.
