anyone know how to prop up a crib mattress?

My doctor said to prop her up, and she is already moving way too much in her sleep positiioner...what are you all doing? I have a very collicky baby.....anyone else? Just recently at like 4 weeks she became so unhappy all of a sudden!

  • we have to prop ours up too for reflux.  we rolled a towel/blanket up.  you can do it so that it isn't propped up too much. we found a happy medium where he doesnt move too much because of the incline.

  • I just put a towel or two under one end of the crib mattress and it did the trick. Babies R Us does sell a wedge to put under one end too.

  • I did a phone book for dd
  • We're using a pillow under the mattress.

  • Get a sleep positioner with a wedge. BRU/walmart/target sell them.

    This.

  • We tried blankets and it didn't work for us, so we bought the sleep wedge from BRU. It was only $15, so we figured it was easier then messing with it.

  • Look into getting a wedge like a nap nanny.

If your daughter has reflux, this could be a lifesaver. it would be worth every penny.

If order to make a difference the crib mattress needs to be 30 degrees or more. You can use pillows underneath it to support the mattress, but then the baby will slide down. The nap nanny has a harness.
