Someone from the 2nd tri board sent me here. My DF has Celiac Disease and I was just wondering how they tested your daughters when they were born? Or did they wait a little while? Any info on that would be great. I am going to talk to my midwife about it at my next visit. Thanks!

Unfortunately the celiac tests are designed for kids over 6 so while they can test little ones, there is a high rate of false negatives.? There is also a genetic test but it isn't considered as reliable and most insurances don't cover it (it is pricey).? I have some more info in my bio.? Let me know if I can help!??

My DD was 3 when she was diagnosed.? She did get a positive test but that is most likely because she was very sick.?
