Hi everyone,
I've been lurking around here for a while and just wanted to introduce myself. My name Jodie and I have a daughter who is a little over 2 1/2. I just recently started seeing a RE after having two back-to-back miscarriages earlier this year. My OB kept telling me that nothing is wrong since we got pregnant easily with my first as well as this second time around (although this second "round" ended in miscarriages), but now that we're closing in on a year with no success (combined with the fact that I turn 35 next month), I figured I needed to start getting some advice from a specialist.
I saw my RE a couple of weeks ago and he began the blood work; I'll be doing Day 3 testing next week (unless I find out I'm pregnant in the interim). My husband's tests showed a one percent morphology rate, but other testing parameters were good. My HSG showed a blockage in one tube (although due to where it was located, they question whether it really was a cramp?).
At this point in time, the RE is suggesting starting with an unmedicated IUI, unless the test results indicate other unanticipated issues. What is everyone's experience with that? I would think that my odds would be better if I were on Clomid, but maybe I'm wrong? I'm so impatient right now, and like everyone I don't want to waste any more time, etc.
Anyway - it's great to meet everyone. I've been feeling kind of alone in this process and am looking for a community in which to get involved. A lot of my friends are pregnant or just had babies, my husband would love to have another child but would also be happy with just Abby, etc. Everyone here seems so nice, and I'm hoping to get to know all of you, not only so that I can find some support, but also so that I can give some as well.
Have a great day!
Re: Just introducing myself....
Welcome.
We feel your pain and I'm sure there are other women on this board that are dealing with a very similar situation as yours. Oddly enough it does make us feel better knowing we're not the only ones. I had problems conceiving the first time around and graduated from the T-TTC board and then ended up back on a troubled board trying for number 2. Oh well.
Keep us posted and don't be shy.

First off welcome to the board. We hope you have quick success.
I am assuming the RE figures the only problem is your DH's morphology. If that is the case it makes sense to try an unmedicated IUI. Otherwise I must admit I am a touch stumped. This is the first I've ever heard of an unmedicated IUI cycle.
Clomid would increase your chances but if your doctor thinks you are fine that is probably why she doesn't recommend it. After all even if it increases your chances it also can increase your risks such as ovarian hyperstimulation and from my experience MULTIPLES.
Welcome Jodie glad you are here, and I hope you won't have to stay long! GL!
