Can I have an early FFFC??

Tomorrow Brady and I are going to the zoo with a friend and her DS.  This friend called me up today asking if we wanted to go because she got free passes (and I am lazy and still haven't renewed our membership!).  I am glad we are going, BUT, instead of just meeting us at the zoo (or anywhere else we go), she always wants to meet at my house first.  Not a huge deal, but I would just much rather her meet me at the zoo instead of wasting time at my house.  She also usually wants to drive together (I live 5 min from the zoo, so I don't consider it a waste of gas).  I hate driving with other people, and would much rather drive myself.  I do usually suggest we drive separate.  The main problem though, she ALWAYS comes back to my house for lunch and naptime.  I live for my naptime during the day, I need that quiet time to myself.  DS is a great napper usually (2-3 hours), but when she and her son are over, for some reason, neither of the boys will nap (they are in separate rooms).  It just drives me nuts.  I have playdates all the time with other people, and we get together, and then go our separate ways (which is what I prefer), but this one friend always hangs around and basically just invites herself over after every outing.  I am too nice to say anything, but I just had to get it off of my chest!

Anyone else have a FF(almost)FC?

YES!!  I knew I forgot about flying to TX tomorrow!!  Lol!  I really should make up an excuse, huh?!

  • lol! are we twins?  i feel the same.  i am social, love gtg's but need my space and to go seperate ways later.
  • Oh, and I should add....she doesn't know yet that I am pregnant.  And I am pretty sure that the fatigue and m/s is not helping my attitude towards it!

Exactly!!  DS' nap time is really my ONLY time to myself during the day.  I NEED that time!

  • I don't blame you one bit.  I'm like that too.  I need my down time and my "me" time.  My sister is the opposite.  She hates being alone.  It's funny how our perspectives on this are different.  When in the hospital after giving birth, she was complaining b/c no one comes and visits on the 2nd day.  I was complaining b/c I wanted everyone to leave so I could rest!  LOL.
