Probably a really dumb question (Sorry and TMI)...

Sometimes when DH and I have sex, it gets kind of rough, like he thrusts really fast and hard.  I'm wondering if it's okay, or if it could possibly harm the baby, like give her something similar to shaken baby syndrome in the womb? I tried looking up info, but I couldn't find anything.  I know I'm probably overthinking this, but I'm a new mommy and I worry about everything right now!

 Thanks for any answers, and sorry that this question might be really dumb!

Your baby has plenty of cushion for the pushin in there. You only have to be worried if you experience bleeding and/or you doc tells you to chill.

Maybe ask DH not to be so rough or ask OB about it. I think baby is fine, as long as you don't have placental previa (I think that's what its called).

Unless your DH happens to puncture your cervix (tee hee but highly highly unlikely), you are completely fine.

LOL at "cushin for the pushin" from shortyred.  I agree with pp's that it should be fine.  If you experience bleeding I would talk to your doctor about it.

Not silly at all. After several bad bleeding episodes during the first 14 weeks of pregnancy my DH and I are too scared to even try. I know we need to get over it but it sure is hard...

It's not that I'm worried that he will reach far enough to touch anything, just that the motion from the shaking could do something bad. Thanks for all the reassurances.

Shaken baby syndrome cannot happen in the womb and cannot happen from sex.

I was worried about the same problem with my bf and I during sex. But my DR informed me the baby has lots of cushion and unless I have bleeding afterward I'm fine.

What shorty said.  If you have bleeding, severe cramping, contractions etc.. then call your doc.  Otherwise enjoy the fact that you're still getting to have sex!
