Ok I know I am driving you girls crazy with all this talk - but I really need some sound advice!  :-)  My period started today!  YAH! So where do I go from here?!  My last period started Sept 11 so that is like 40 days in between!  So now what?!  I really don't know what to do - have never been a charter or anything like that.  But i would LOVE to really try to get pregnant this month - just need so advice!  THanks!  Tell me if I should go to another board!.....lol

Are you willing to chart?  if you are, you can buy a BBT (basal body thermometer) at Target for like $7 or $8.  I also really recommend www.fertilityfriend.com for charting.  Take their tuitorials for into on charting.  I got pregnant my second cycle charting!  I also took some supplements that I read help with fertility, let me know if you want any of that info.

I would say either OPK's or start charting. Either way, try to figure out when you're ovulating. The differnce is, OPK's tell you before you ovulate. Taking temps tell you once you've already ovulated, I think. I charted (temps only) before getting PG with DS on our 3rd month.

I've heard people swear by Mucinex too.

start using OPKs on day 10 and given the length of your cycles, be prepared to have to buy 2 or more boxes.  Follow the directions.  If you don't want to be confused about "is that line dark enough" spring for the digital smiley face/yes ones.

we did opk's with Carson and caught him on the first try, lol!

i wasn't into just having sex/trying without knowing when i was ovulating, i hated the thought of getting my hopes up.  i got online to figure out when i would ovulate and it gave me a date and i started testing one day before that date, the stronger the line the closer you are to ovulating and we would sex it up for a few days, lol.

i will do this with the next one too.

i tried the charting thing and could not figure it out.

Charting works if you are willing to do it. That is what I had to do with P because not only were my cycles long but they were irregular. One month might be 38 days and the next 46
