NPR- what kind of food for puppy?

We got a puppy last night- a Boxer.  I was going to feed him Canidea- all life stages for puppy and above, but then i thought maybe i better just go with a "puppy, puppy" food right now like puppy chow or something. Any reccomendations on a good puppy food?? The lady we got him off of was feeding him purina puppy chow in a blue bag, but he seems to have really soft/mushy like stools, and i thought maybe that's from the puppy chow?

    We use Nutro brand products for all of our pets because they have no byproducts.  I just get the dry food.  You can always add a little bit of water to make it easier with the puppy teeth.

    Nutro is good.  So is Halo, Royal Canin or Blue Buffalo. 

    More important, please post a pic!  I love boxers.

    Canidae is a good food. We used it for many years. Here is a product comparison that breaks down the ingredients in most dog foods.

    I am sorry, I don't want to sound snooty but I disagree w/ Nutro being a good food. Sorry, but it goes into the category w/ Iams and SD for me. Better than, Kibbles and Bits but not so great. Embarrassed

    Ha-Ha I knew you girls would want to see pictures!  I tried to get one of him last night, but he was so energized that all my pictures turned out in a blur.  I'm going to try again tonight

    And FWIW, we feed one of ours SD because for some reason, all of the better foods are too rich for her and make her violently. Oh well, whatever works I guess.

    We use Wellness for our dog and really like it. Its been good on her stomach.

    We used Nutro for Coach --- it had one of the lowest protein levels for dog food and it's what the breeder suggested.

    I would use a puppy puppy food for now.
