I have an orange tongue!

Last week, I had bad m/s and I got sick A LOT! I woke up Saturday morning and I noticed I had a bright orange tongue. And I feel like I constantly have a bad taste in my mouth (which is a normal side effect of pregnancy, right?) The orange fades when I brush my teeth but it comes right back. And no, I have not been eating orange tick tacks!

I called my OBGYN yesterday and asked them if it was normal, their direct answer was, NO!

I called my familyl doctor today and they need me to come in for throat cultures because they think I have a bacterial infection from throwing up so much. 

Has anyone ever heard of this crazy orange tongue thing? I feel so embarassed! lol

I thought you were going to say that you enjoyed an orange smoothie or something! I have never heard of it though. Glad your Doc is getting you in though to figure it out and solve it!

I have not heard of an orange tongue. My tongue sometimes gets really yucky and white, depending on how much i throw up. Hope everything is ok!

I had a friend with a UTI who would throw up from the antibiotics and would an orange tongue from this.  I don't know how common it is, or what it means, but I've seen it before.

looks like thorwing up may be the culprit!  Thanks for letting me know!

The medicine you would take for a UTI is actually a reddish-orange color so if she was throwing that up, it would make her tongue orange. My guess is that would be totally unrelated to what is happening to you. Hope it's okay!
