Toddlers: 24 Months+

Great sorting activity

Accidently dump your new container of 500 assorted color paperclips all over your kitchen floor. Spend 2 minutes cleaning them up yourself, then come to your senses and let your toddler spend the next 15 minutes doing it.

I may do it again some night when I need a few minutes to make dinner.

Re: Great sorting activity

  • How funny! I was going to share katie's new fave activity. I read it in a blog forever ago...or was it on here?....but she will spend 15 or more mins putting q-tips into the small holes of a Parmesan cheese container. Yep. What could be more fun?

  • Great way to keep LO's occupied!  I will have to try that sometime!
  • HA! I love it. That's so me, too- I'll start cleaning whatever it is up, realize that DD is totally into helping, and then come to my senses and completely pass it over to her. You would think I would've learned by now ;)

Great idea! (though DD would have those suckers in her ears in no time!)

DD puts toothpicks (with sequins at one end so they don't fall all the way through) into the top of a spice jar. She loves this one.

I've got an activity waiting but haven't shown it to her yet. Popsicle sticks with letters on them sorted into those tube icecube trays with matching letters. We'll see how it goes, though I'm sure she'll like it!
