how is your toddler with vaccines?

We're about to start my 2.5 year old's vaccines. She is delayed for medical reasons and we'll be doing 1 shot a month to catch her up. I'm sooo nervous for her!  How does your toddler handle them?  Does it seem to hurt a lot or do they not seem to be too bothered?

Katie told the nurse 'thank you' after the last vaccine. LOL it's actually easier than when she was little.

Ben cried a little when he was younger and had a little fever at 2, 4, and 6 month shots, but was fine at 12 and 18 months.  He just got his flu shot a couple of weeks ago, and didn't cry a bit and asked for the band aid the nurse had on her shirt.

I also think it is much better now than when he was little!  It doesn't seem to hardly bother him!  The last time he had a shot (flu shot), he asked the nurse for more?!?!

He is fine. He cries, but just for a minute and as soon as he gets his animal cracker he is fine.

He always had a reaction to the Pertussis vaccine, which they get several times (he is all done with his, but I don't know what schedule yourr DC is doing). Spiking a dramatic fever the next day, very crabby, red/swollen area where he got the shot, etc. Apparently this is very common for the pertussis vaccine. He was always fine within a day, but it still sucked.
