I went to chipotle the other night and it was AWFUL. The steak was so spicy it was inedible (at least for h and I). The chips were over salted and gross and there was no tea to drink.
I did write to complain because it was just a really bad experience (yes, I do write when things are really good too) :-D They replied back and I was impressed it was more than just a form letter.
She addressed the issues that I brought up and explained to me that steak is always the spiciest and pork is always the mildest. Does anyone's chipotles have a chart or does anyone get told the spice level when they order? It seems to me like it would be a better plan to make everything the same level of mild and then allow people to add more spice (maybe extra marinade?) as they see fit.
Like H said "just because I don't like burning my taste buds, I have to resign myself to pork or chicken?"
Re: chipotle feedback
I am very, very sorry that you did not love your Chipotle experience.
I have never had the steak, but DH has said it's zesty. I love their chicken and it's all I ever get in the burrito bowl anyway. I do find that their salsa's are very spicey, though. I like the medium green one, and always ask for a small amount instead of the usual spoonful.
