"I cannot tell a lie..."

Funny DS story.

We went to a brand new SuperTarget that just opened around here Sunday.  We were in the produce section.  Now, DS is used to our Publix, where we get groceries - they give kids a free cookie at the bakery.  So he asked if he could have a cookie.  To which I replied, "Well, ummm, I don't think they have cookies here," because I knew what he was talking about.

So we continued getting the produce we needed, and I didn't realize we were moving closer to the bakery section until DS shouted:

"Mama, cookies!  Cookies right dare!!  See, Mama, I told you.  I toooooollld yooooooouu!!"

He had spotted the bakery cookies that were pre-packaged in clear containers.  So, he got me.  We ended up taking a package of cookies home. Embarrassed

  • just so you know, supertarget will give out a free cookie to the kids also.  Next time you won't have to buy the whole package, just ask the bakery.
  • Well at least you got some cookies out of the deal. That is awesome.

  • What a smarty pants!

My DD recognizes the Target symbol and immediately starts asking for popcorn.

  • Just an FYI - SuperTarget does give a free cookie to all kids. Just ask at the bakery counter.  It is what gets me through my Targert trips with my kids - my rule is they need to be sitting in the cart if they have a cookie so they get the cookie and I fly through the store and we make it out in no time and all happy.
