I found some cute ones on Target.com baby'sRus website and walmart website of all places. I was going to see if any of those stores could order one for me and I can return it if I don't like it.
If you are going to buy an upholstered glider I would suggest NOT ordering online. That is a big purchase and the shipping charges will be insane! FInd a store near you that has them in store for you to try and order there. We got a Best Chair and I absolutely cannot wait for it to get here!
best chair is by far the most comfortable i've sat in and they have lots of style options....lots....
you can get a traditional glider/swivel looking thing. we ended up getting a more modern looking chair that has essentially some faux leather upholstery.
definitely best chair.

I was set on an upholstered chair from best chairs but when we went to test them out my they had a very short back. My dh is 6'5 and he couldn't get comfy in any of them. So we went to BRU and tested out the wooden gliders and we both fell in love with them. We got the Dutallier XL glider. It's so nice!!! It reclines and glides at the same time. It came to 550 for the glider and ottoman after a cpl. coupons. We just love it. I'm able to rest my head back on the cushions. I suggest you test them out especially if your tall.
Though I make rocking chairs, and not gliders, my big feature is customization. It's why my business is growing. I've heard so many folks complain about not being able to find a chair that fits. Well I've made chairs for men 6 foot five, and petite ladies barely 5 feet tall. And lots of customers have sent me fabric they have picked out themselves, for a truly custom-made piece.
Best of luck to all you ladies searching for the perfect chair!
The pp who said to definitely not buy online was absolutely correct. We ended up with a custom Little Castle glider/recliner/swivel after trying every model of Dutailier, Best Chair and Little Castle at Great Beginnings. Seriously. I had gone in thinking we'd end up with a Dutalier since that's what all our friends have, but it was (to me and DH) the least comfortable of the 3 brands. It's all about personal comfort, which is why I think you need to test them. Buying online would completely prevent this possibility.
Re: Gliders Suggestions?
The ones I liked best were the Best Chairs and Little Castle from Buy Buy Baby. The ones at BRU were nowhere near as comfy or as high quality.
I almost bought a glider online until I realized that the shipping was almost $200 on a $399 glider.
