Do you or have you attended LLL meetings? I'm planning to go tomorrow with DS. I am hoping my boss will let me go regularly since it's just one morning a month. I've been thinking about becoming a LC...

Re: LLL Meetings?
We've gone, but I was very weirded out by the leader. She was a nice lady who was maybe in her late 30's. She had her 6 year old with her & her 6 year old was standing next to her with the boob in her mouth like it was a straw.
Other than that, I found them to be a little disorganized. A very nice group of women, but a little disorganized. I also felt that the leader (who was also an LC) really didn't listen to the questions. At least she didn't answer the ones being asked. LOL
I did come away with a lot of info though. And I also walked away with more confidence in bfing an older infant & toddler.
I hope you enjoy yours though. They really are a wealth of info & the women are truly dedicated to bfing.

I know everyone has a different experience, but I absolutely love my LLL group. The leader is also my LC and she is cool. Our group is really supportive and has a range of parenting styles. The vibe is that we're just happy to be BF'ing and it doesn't really matter how long you BF or if you supplement...whatever.
I think the leader can make or break a great group. Ours is really relaxed. When no one has a question we just sit and chat about other things. If it wasn't for LLL I wouldn't have many mommy friends. I'll probably keep going even after I wean while we wait for #2.
Crazy - I always hate being in those situations because I'm afraid no one will believe the crazy story.
I love our LLL too. The leader really sets the tone of the meetings. I found ours to be very supportive.
She's also my Bradley teacher! That's fun.
