I need scrapbook/card making help! (KU?)

I want to make the invites for M's birthday myself, because I need a project! LOL... What tools do I need?  Like how do I get a good fold in the card? And how do you make the edges look "rough" or brown?  Here is a link to what I would like it look like, or similar.

  • That is super cute!!!  I don't know about getting a 'good fold', I just measure and fold where it needs to be!  For the the brown edges, use a sponge and a brown ink pad.  Lightly rub the sponge on the edge of the paper.  HTH!

  • those are really cute!

Looks like it's red card stock to start. If you want to get perfect folds, I would buy the pre-made blank cards at Michaels. But I like the "barn" fold, so just measure where you want the fold and then lay a ruler down and fold over.

Like Sept said, I would buy a little sponge and a brown ink pad and lightly dot the edges of the cream colored paper.

Looks like they may have used a Cricut machine for the die cuts. You can probably find stickers.

The star you can find either stickers or a die cut punch :)

Looks like a big project, let me know how it goes!

  • To get a good fold you need a bone folder. This:

You should be able to get it at a scrapbooking store, and I may have even gotten my from walmart in the scrapbooking section.

Those are super cute!!! Can't wait to see your finished project!
