I like the Amityville Horror movies too, but I think my all time favorite "scary" movies are the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. Freddy Kruger is creepy!
Has anybody seen The Strangers? That freaked me right the heck out.
This movie was ruined for me by the gabby teenagers behind me who kept yelling out funny things. The funniest was "I'd be mad as hell!" Couldn't stop laughing for a good five minutes.
The concept is really creepy though and entirely possible. I hate that.
The Shining, The Exorcist, The Omen, Rosemary's Baby...apparently I have a thing for Satan.
The original Shining and Omen scare the sh*t out of me. The first time I saw The Shining I was staying at my dad's. My room was by itself on the 3rd floor and I slept with ALL the lights on.

I'm not big on gore and violence so all of the Jason type movies are out.
I think I'd have to go with the Shining also.

Just the thought of that movie makes me want to lock myself in my panic room.

Yes, very creepy. I want to go see Paranormal Activity too!
I heard that was good! I saw a preview for a new movie called The Fourth Kind and it looks pretty scary too.
