16 Vials of Blood

I just gave. Have had a CP and a M/C at around 6w. SIXTEEN vials, I couldn't believe it. They are testing for everything. While it may have been premature, I don't want to ignore a potential treatable issue that could prevent another m/c. I should get all the results within 1 1/2 weeks.

wow just thinking about 16 vials of blood gets me woozy. I hope it provides some answers for you.

One of them had to be sent of.  My doctor warned it would take a while to get the results.  Have a call in to them to find out how long a while is. 

Do you know when you'll get yours back?

Thanks ladies- I almost thought of not doing it and trying one more time, hoping 3rd time is a charm, but figured, one more blood draw to do a full screening is worth it

is this the genetic testing they do on you and your hubby?  I am being referred for testing since I am having my second MC in a row.

No- my doctor says the wouldn't do genetic testing until 3+ m/c...i think  that's called karytotyping. This was blood work to see if I've got any processes variations, clotting, thyroid issues.

I had 14 taken on Friday...and that was just to start!

I think I had 12 taken alone just for blood clotting disorders.  They knew I have one gene mutation that leads to blood clots so they did the full panel back when I was ttc.

I hope they can find some answers for you quickly!

Oy! Is that what I have to look forward to??  I have got to go get all my testing for immune disorders, clotting disorders, etc too.  That is after my  beta levels finally reach zero.  I am already tired of being stuck with needles every week. So I cannot imagine how you feel. But it will all be worth it if they find something they can treat to keep us from losing more babies right??
