If you have 2 (or more) DC of the same sex, how often (if ever) do you dress them in matching outfits-like the same outfit in different sizes?
I guess I hadn't thought much about it, and never thought I would dress them the same except for matching "Big Sister" & "Little Sister" shirts I bought them. But my mom and MIL having been buying EVERYTHING they can find that comes in 0-3mo and 3T.
I will use the clothes, and appreciate their enthusiasm and thoughtfulness, but I won't be dressing them in the matching outfits on the same day very often, except for the occassional picture.
Re: Matching outfits?
I do more coordinating than matching. My girls LOVE to be dressed alike though (they are 5 & 21/2). They have the same pink coat & pink shoes and when one wears it usually the other insists too. How can I refuse? They won't like the idea for long.
I love matching outfits for holidays and pictures. But my girls are too big for them now. I can still get away with coordinating outfits for the big holidays.
My mom used to dress my sister and I alike as children and even though we are three years apart people used to think we were twins when she was 4 & I was 7 and so on. I hated it and was always so mad when we had to wear the same outfit, I will never do that to my children...if I ever have two of the same sex in close ages.
