I know you mentioned a while ago that the train at Step2 didn't get too great of reviews, not sure if you're interested, but Amazon has the Melissa and Doug train set for $65.00 w/free shipping.  I ordered that for DD for xmas along with the train table & drawers from Step2 (they have $50 off of a $175 purchase right now)  I bought 2 piddle pads to get me to 175 and the shipping&oversize shipping was $50, so the discount paid for shipping.  I think the $ off at step 2 is only good until Thursday.

 

* I meant One Step Ahead has the coupon, that's where we got the table and drawers from.  I always get those two mixed up...

Thank you so much! My mom finally decided to get a Kidkraft train and table from Costco. We're probably going to pick it up today. Thanks for thinking of me (and the new Piddle Pads are way better than the old ones, I think!).

You're welcome... I didn't see the kidkraft one at costco... looks really nice online though.  My mother is buying DD the KidKraft ultimate easel (which we saw at costco - I love costco).  With all my researching these different trains and tables, lots of people say you need something called suretrack to help stablize the arches and whatnot...

OMG - the metropolis train table and track is gorgeous... are you getting that one?  I'm kicking myself I could have saved $65 and gotten this all in one!

Yup, that's the one! I saw it all set up and it was really cute. And I like how the table looks more like furniture. Can't wait to put it together! I've seen people talking about that Suretrack stuff. Who knew toy trains were so involved?!
