We've been using disposables for overnights for a long time now (we do cloth during the day) b/c Cal is a heavy wetter and was wetting through his diaper to his jammies/sheets. I know there are lots of different things to try with cloth for overnight but frankly I didn't want to spend the $$ or time (read: continued bed-wetting) while figuring out what worked for us. So, we turned to disposables. This has been working fine until recently when he's also been soaking through the disposables! By morning he almost always has a wet spot on his jammies and the sheets. And last night he had one by 1:00AM! Unbelieveable! I don't know what to do...are there high-absorbancy dipes for this purpose? He always wakes up if he's that wet, and changing his diaper/clothes/sheets just wakes him up more, to the point that he can't get back to sleep - last night it took an hour! Ugh. So, I want to avoid this at all costs. Please help.

I've heard great things about the overnight diapers (never used them ourselves)- hopefully it helps you as well!

I don't have diaper advice but your siggy picture makes me smile everytime I see it. Cal is so cute!!!!
lckytabby3 - thanks.
Oh, a bigger size!? Maybe we'll give that a shot...if it doesn't work we'll try to overnights. Thanks everyone!

1. Try going up a size in diapers just for overnight.
2. Try layering a correct size diaper with a 2 sizes too big diaper over it.
3. Try adding a diaper doubler
4. We use Huggies overnights and really notice a difference with them.
5. As usual - be sure the penis is pointed down. Night leaks are a bigger problem for tummy sleeping boys due to positioning.
6. Use an ultimate crib sheet so the bedding changes are a snap if you do have leaks.
HTH!

Another vote for huggies overnights... they even held strong for Jack when he was 2 and not potty trained.. a 2 year old's bladder can hold a lot!
I totally thought they were a scam (ie: just a regular diaper in a different package with a higher price) but they really do work better.
Also, I've seen little disposable inserts at BRU with the diapers that are for this purpose... to add more absorbency to sposies.
