can't wait for this day to end

i feel like i have been saying no and stop to my son ALL day and getting so irritated at him and I feel so badly considering my 10 month old is as sweet as a pea and i just feel like i'm always getting so mad at him. UGH! i need more patience and i just need this day to end!

  • Ugh, I remember that age. :) So cute, but if they're any kind of mobile, they are so frustrating. :) I had to get really good at babyproofing, just to allow him some "safe" space where it didn't matter what he got into. Oh, and redirecting too. Instead of saying no and stop, maybe give him a favorite toy, or show him pictures in a book? I feel for you, and hope you feel better soon!! We all have our days. :)

  • How frustrating! I'm sorry:(

Yes, I try not to say "no" to her. Instead, I say things like, "Oh WOW DD!!! Look at THAAAAT!!!" And she gets all excited about something else and forgets what she was doing (that I didn't want her doing). And as pp said, babyproofing to the extreme helps a lot!

DD always gets into my cupboards and pulls everything out. So, I made one cupboard that she knows is *hers* and she can do anything she wants with the metal bowls, wooden spoons and tupperware in there (ones I don't use much). She always has to help clean them up, though:)
