Can you share your VBAC experience?  Why did you have a C/S with DC #1?

Check out the "birth stories" board, there are a bunch of vbac success stories over there.? I'm hoping for a vbac but its still really early for me so anything can happen.

No success story here (yet!). I had a section with DS because he was too big and couldn't engage into my pelvis, so I never dialated or went into labor. Had the section at 41w 1d.

Hoping for a VBAC this time, but you're right, its a really tough decision. I have to wait and see if I grow another beast child

After having a second c-section only 3 weeks ago, I have to say i don't understand why people opt for VBAC. My scheduled c-section was such a great experience. Granted, my sister did voice her jealousy and that stung a little but I just stuck my toungue out at her...lol

I had a hard time deciding too, but in retrospect, was very happy to choose the surgery.

Glad I didn't attempt a VBAC, my doc says I would have ruptured and required and emergency hysterectomy..... my uterus was so thin, they could see the baby as soon as they opened me up!  I am having a harder recovery this time, but am definately glad for no VBAC! DS was breech and DD was not so they said I would have been a "good candidate for a VBAC" before I delivered.
