I'm just AW'ing about all kinds of things today. But this is actually sort of relevant to this board.
My 39 y/o sister gave birth to her first baby, a little girl, earlier this afternoon. She went into the hospital Saturday at 41 weeks to begin induction and just delivered today. It's been a long 2 days of waiting for me but no doubt even longer for her. I just hope stubborn babies don't run in the family.
Re: AW: I have a new niece
Congrats, Auntie!
Do you two live close enough that the cousins will get to play together often? I love family ties like that.
Unfortunately we live 3000 miles apart, but we'll do the best we can.
Thanks
How exciting to be a new Aunt! I'm glad everything went well for your sister (although, a little longer than she probably would have liked).
Maybe she can join the Parenting after 35 board so we can all meet her
Big - 1 year old
Bigger - 6 years old
Biggest - 13 years old
Congratulations! I have 11 nieces & nephews and it is so much fun being an aunt!
I think everyone has neglected to ask the most important question though - what did she name her??? Or did I miss that in your OP?
Hope I'm not being nosey...just obsessed with names these days....
Her name is Zia Alexandria. My sister has a flair for the dramatic.
Aww...that's cute!! Its different but not obnoxiously so like some of the other names I've seen....wow...there are some doozies.
BTW, I see in your siggy - are you naming your little girl Pearl??? I seriously LOVE that name but I can't get DH to love it no matter how hard I try....its just soooo cute...I am jealous!
Thanks. No, Pearl is just what we started calling her when I found out I was pg because we took a cruise on the Norwegian Pearl about 28 weeks ago. Dh wanted to give her that as a middle name but changed his mind when I told him he had to tell her where her middle name come from.
LOL! Well...its a cute nickname, nonetheless!
