Doppler-tips/tricks?!

I really want to hear the heartbeat on our doppler! I have a tilted uterus so it's probably alot harder than most but does anyone have any tips or tricks. Ours is the fetal sounds heart doppler (or something like that). It's one of the ones with the doppler on the hand held part..so it's not like a probe like one :-(

I think 9 weeks may be a weeeee bit early, especially for an amateur... so my tip is... wait a couple weeks

at 12 weeks the top of your ute is at the top of your pubic bone so when you go to listen lie flat, point the dop under the bone and be paitent.  it can take a while to hear it.

I tried yesterday and I still haven't heard it on my doppler  but I know it can take awhile.  Full bladder is always a good tip as well! GL!

i read in an online review that one person used a pillow to shield the outside noise and that helped her find it.  good luck!

It may not be too early....I heard mine with a home doppler and exactly 10 weeks (and I was told I had a tilted uterus), and my sister-in-law who is also pregnant heard hers at 9 weeks, 3 days.  JUST BE SURE TO SEARCH LOW!  I found mine about a centimeter above the pubic bone on my right side.  Then the next week, I heard it above the pubic bone on my left side.  Don't be discouraged if you can't here it though!
