MP ??? from a SAL'er

Can you tell me what it looks like in the beginning. I have a bit of brown mucousy discharge on my pantyliner, nothing when I wipe & there is no blood. Could this be the beginning of losing it? I know it can mean delivery is still weeks away...Just curious.Thanks girls!

that's what mine looked like and with my first it happened over the course of a week. one day i wiped and there was a big brownish booger looking thing (TMI, so sorry!). ds was born 2 weeks later. labor was faster after i lost it with my second (a matter of days) but i'm not sure if that's jus a coincidence. gl!

I started to lose my MP about 24 hours before delivering. In my expereince, it was very evident as it was pretty lumpy and blood tinged (sorry to be gross).

Best of luck and remember you can always call your doc if  you need reassurance.

I started to lose mine the morning of the day I went into labor. Mine was like what you described at first then clumpy and more bloody that afternoon. My water then broke that night at 10pm. Everyone is different but hope that helps.  GL!!!!

I lost a tiny piece of mine around 35 weeks.  It was a little dot of clear mucus tinged with brownish-red that landed on the toilet seat.  I had some discharge like the one you are describing the morning I went into labor, but I didn't lose the whole plug until halfway through labor.
