Headache for 2 weeks after c-section?

I've now had a headache since delivery.  Nothing helps it and I'm starting to wonder if it's from my spinal?

Anyone else have this?

I had a spinal headache and the tell tale sign is it feels better laying down but kills if you sit up further than a 45 degree angle . I ended up having to get a blood patch to seal the hole in my spinal column it sucked but I felt better immediately! Don't go to long in pain get it checked out!

I've had an off and on headache, but nothing severe.  I think it's just from being sick and stressed.

I had it too but it was close to immobilizing and it turned out to be a spinal headache. It was horrible. Unless its really bad, it could take up to 6 weeks for your hormones and everything to pan out and for your body balance itself. For myself, each day the headache was worse and worse and that was because of the amount of spinal fluid in my spinal column. If its not getting worse or is manageable it could just be your body reaction to the birth (at least thats what I was told)

If you end up needing a blood patch...ugh, Im so so sorry. They are REALLY not fun.

From friends that had the spinal headache, it was terrible.  I have had a headache off and on but it is due to lingering blood pressure issues from my pre-e.  Wouldn't hurt to chech that.

I had a bad one off and on for almost 2 weeks.  i heard it can also be from withdrawl from the pain meds or it can also be from lack of sleep. i was so nervous that it was a spinal headache as well because it felt much better laying down but then it gradually went away and all is well.  i hope the same happens for you!

have you checked your blood pressure?  If it's elevated could be pre-e.  Some women get it after delivery.  If so, call your dr. b/c it's dangerous if nothing is done.

well I do have pre-e and started BP meds 10 days ago.  My BP is back to normal but the headache is still here and slightly worse...

Thanks - I 'm actually going to see her in a few hours.  I guess I didn't think it could still be related to the pre-e, but maybe it is!  Thanks for all the advice! :-)
